I dropped into the Shamrock Bar on this side street between Beach Road and 2nd Road because of all the foreigners (like me) enjoying an afternoon beer. The overall atmosphere, ambience and prices for both beer and the food was very reasonable. Their menu selection included many of the comfort foods that I can get back home. I love Thai food elsewhere but sometimes I need to be fed with great old English and Irish fare. Terry, the bar owner is very friendly and a wealth of knowledge. This isn’t a bar with Thai “working girls” propositioning me but rather his efficient Thai staff giving great customer service. Plenty of other bars around for those foreigners seeking the attention which I’ve indulged too but sometime I just need to relax and meet other patrons seeking the same refuge. I highly recommend this bar both for refreshments or meals. Their breakfast was amazing Price per person: ฿200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Bacon and Eggs
