Has been on my list for the longest time and it did not disappoint! The speakeasy vibes at The Spiffy Dapper are so on point! perfect spot for a date night or night drinks. The cocktails are unique and done so well. My personal fav was the Joe Giggle Water the coffee and coconut blend was so smooth! The Gold Digger is also such a pretty, floral drink , and the Bear Cat was creamy and delicious. Steak and Frites was 10/10. The ribeye was perfectly grilled and the Bordelaise sauce was amazing! phenomenal food and drinks here, i was blown away by their duck confit especially and it’s easily one of the best i’ve tried in sg. the way the meat fell off the bone, the crispiness of the skin, the pairing with the puree. foaming at the mouth thinking about it. the steak frites and smashed burger were also really good too and i especially loved the mushrooms with the steak, so it’s not your typical steak frites for sure. the cocktails were also exquisite and i especially loved the bear cat drink which was like an elevated porn star martini. if you love passionfruit cocktails, i highly recommend that one. the people there are super friendly and gave me amazing recommendations on what to order. had an amazing time here and will definitely be back! One of the few speakeasies that make you feel like you’re no longer in Singapore (but rather, in an intimate and dimly lit “old-school” tavern) They’ve got an pretty good selection of drinks, ranging from the Dew Dropper, a fruity and herbaceous riff on a gimlet that’ll please even those new to cocktails, to the more spirit-forward Smoky Brown Plaid (it’s like an extra smooth Old Fashioned with subtle notes of maple). If you enjoy savoury cocktails like the Bloody Mary, you might like the Ossified Mrs Grundy, an ultra-refreshing concoction of cherry tomato vodka, Serrano peach hot sauce and kimchi Food-wise, we tried the Steak and Frites (250g of ribeye with an intensely savoury Bordelaise sauce) but it was unfortunately a tad too chewy and cooked for my liking, so I’d recommend going for the hearty, well-rounded Smashed Burger instead Whatever you do, don’t forget to order a serving of fries, cooked in beef tallow and dusted with parmesan, which were crispy, fragrant, and SO addictive!
