We been there for the new year dinner buffet, All in all the food was good some of the items would need improvement. Like the clear soup was a bit to sweet. The carpaccio could used a bit more flavor. As fine dinning chef I’m not an easy customer and judge harder than normal people. Presentation of the food was really nice and on a good level. The Square Restaurant on the 6th floor of the Novotel offers a daily seafood buffet starting at 6pm. If you make reservations on their website, the cost will be THB 950 (approximately $30) per person. While a bit pricey it is worth the experience at least once.There is an incredible assortment of seafood, Thai dishes, salads, fruits and desserts to try. Most of the food is excellent, especially the sea bass and the smoked salmon, although we found the rock lobster and crab claws to be a bit disappointing. In one area, you can select whatever raw seafood you prefer, or beef, or pork, or chicken and they will cook it "shish kabob" style for you and bring it to your table.Start with a wonderful salad and slow your pace; you will have plenty of time to try all that is offered but be sure to leave room for desert. They also offer an extensive wine selection which takes up a full wall but be aware that wine in Thailand is very expensive due to import duties.
