Best full English I’ve had in a long time, staff very friendly special shout out to sue annd Nicole, there smiles made the day better. and the owner even said hello. I had heard rave reviews about The Tavern from a number of fellow expats, and I finally had the pleasure of stopping in for breakfast with my Pop and a close friend. I have to say, the place exceeded expectations across the board. First off, the food was absolutely phenomenal. Generous portions, expertly prepared, and served piping hot. The breakfast was massive, top-tier quality and unbeatable value. We walked out full, happy, and already planning our return. The coffee was outstanding; smooth, rich, and full of flavor - definitely real gourmet quality. The service is equally impressive. The staff here are warm, attentive, and quick to smile. You can feel the pride they take in making every guest feel right at home. There’s a laid-back charm to the place that put us at ease the moment we walked in. The Tavern is curated by Tom, an American expat and an absolute gentleman. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to chat, Tom has a wealth of insight about the local area and Thai culture. You can tell this place reflects his personality, welcoming, thoughtful, and well put-together. The location couldn’t be better. We grabbed a table outside, sipped our coffee, and soaked in the morning scene. There’s something truly special about watching the world go by in such a comfortable and relaxed setting. They open at 7:00am and stay open until at least 1:00am and it’s the kind of spot you want to linger at, whether starting your day or winding it down. And it is also a bar, a bar that happens to serve some of the best food in town. That combo alone makes it a no-brainer. I’m definitely making this one of my regular haunts. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal, a drink, or just the atmosphere. The Tavern is the real deal, a standout spot that delivers on every front.
