My lunch at the Terrace Restaurant at Pineapple Valley was la française perfection on a plate! I had one of the Chef’s Seasonal Greetings - December Special - Grilled Sea Bass à la Française, and oh my the fish was cooked exactly how I love it - the skin beautifully crispy, the flesh tender and juicy. The potatoes underneath were perfectly golden, soft inside, full of flavour and so comforting. That butter sauce with garlic, fresh herbs, and capers was a very nice touch, and it added such depth and dimension to the whole dish. Even the vegetables were spot-on: tender yet still crisp, none of the overcooked veggies you often get elsewhere. Finally, the freshness of that simple slice of lemon made everything sing - and absolutely satisfied that little French craving I’ve started to have lately.
