Dropped by this cozy café with the missus and we were impressed with the quality across the board. They use the Allpress espresso blend. Nice clarity on the palate and enough punch to cut through milk in the flat white. Their La Marzocco was a nice flex.. Taiwanese breakfast sandwich was a standout. Well-balanced mix of mayo, sunny side up egg, and tender pork fillet, the bread was fragrant and fresh baked! The key lime pie’s lightly tamped cookie base has great texture contrast to the lime filling. Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great taste and texture to their sourdough bread and their chicken sando is amazing. There's ample seating and people move fast to give up seat for others. Do encourage to come earlier too. Staff are friendly and location is pretty easy to find. Parking is easy to get but if it's weekend then you might not have enough lots from the hdb Meal type: Brunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Bright yellow accents, flaky bakes, hearty sandwiches and genuinely cosy vibes at The Weirdoughs in Serangoon! Located among the void deck shops of Serangoon Ave, this cheerful little space serves up honest bakes, coffee, Milo lattes and a revamped sandwich menu that honestly deserves more hype! The moment I walked in, the sunny interior and communal yellow table immediately made the place feel warm and welcoming, almost like hanging out in a friend’s kitchen. Bonus points: they accept CDC vouchers too. Pesto Chicken Sandwich ($12) This was hearty, comforting and very satisfying. Thick slices of toasted sourdough came packed with chicken breast, savoury basil pesto, cheddar, mozzarella and lettuce. The sourdough had a really nice crunch on the outside while still staying soft within. The pesto brought that herbaceous, garlicky richness that paired perfectly with the melted cheese. Simple flavours, but done well. Their sandwiches are made fresh upon order! You can expect a wait time of 10-15mins. You can choose from sourdough, shokupan or european style sourdough for the bread. Sundried Tomato Pesto & Burrata Focaccia ($10) This one was so delicious! The focaccia was crisp and lightly toasted outside while staying fluffy and moist inside, and the burrata added such a creamy, luxurious finish. The sundried tomato pesto was intensely savoury with that concentrated sweet tanginess you get from good dried tomatoes. Combined with the nutty richness, garlic notes and creamy cheese, every bite felt rich, balanced and incredibly moreish. Honestly, the pesto and burrata combo can never go wrong. You can really tell there’s genuine passion behind what they do here. The bakes feel thoughtful without trying too hard, and the whole concept embraces creativity while staying approachable. It’s well executed food in a cosy space. I’m already eyeing their sourdough loaves for my next visit because if the sandwiches tasted this good, the bread alone must be solid! The coffee prices are reasonable too and they have Dirty Milo Latte at $5.50 for hot and $6.50 for cold. The Weirdoughs may still be relatively new to the Serangoon neighbourhood, but it already feels like one of those hidden gems people will willingly travel for. I am a westie and I would want to come back to try their pastries and other sandwiches! Great food, calm vibes, and a space that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The Weirdoughs is the kind of neighbourhood bakery café you instantly want to become a regular at.
