The food was disappointing compared to the photos. The steak was okay, but not close to what is shown in the restaurant’s pictures. The side dishes did not taste fresh. The sauce had clearly been standing for a while and had formed a thick skin on top. My girlfriend ordered beef with rice. The beef tasted like it had been reheated more than once. It was overcooked, dry and not enjoyable. The mango smoothie and watermelon smoothie were very good. That was the best part of the visit. The main reason I give 1 star is the restaurant’s review practice. There was a tag on the table asking customers to give 5 stars in exchange for a 10% discount. That kind of practice makes the rating unreliable. In Norway, this would normally be considered misleading marketing. A restaurant should earn good reviews through food and service, not by buying 5-star ratings with discounts. The dish itself was better than 1/5, but I will not support this kind of review manipulation. It destroys the value of TripAdvisor reviews for other customers. However, we would like to kindly ask where you saw the “10% discount for reviews” promotion, as we discontinued this promotion about 5 months ago following feedback from previous customers. We have also removed all promotional signs and advertisements regarding this offer. If there has been any misunderstanding due to outdated information, we sincerely apologize for any confusion caused.
