Thip Coffee – Phuket, Thailand I have to be honest — my experience at Thip Coffee was a little disappointing. As an Asian traveller, I couldn’t help but notice a stark difference in how I was treated compared to Western tourists. While I was met with frowns during my order, the staff were all smiles for others. It left me feeling a bit unwelcome. On the bright side, the iced latte I ordered was actually good — refreshing and smooth, though there was definitely more ice than coffee. A bit more balance would have made it better. I also think the outdoor seating could be improved. It was a scorching day, and having fans outside would’ve made the experience much more comfortable. Lastly, even though they offered QR code payments, I was told it was only for Thai nationals. That was frustrating, especially since I’ve made countless successful international payments throughout Phuket without issue. It just added to the feeling of exclusion. Overall, the coffee was decent, but the service left a bitter aftertaste. Price per person: ฿300–400 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
