Very cool experience here! There’s beer pong, billiards, games, and plenty of drinks! I had a great time here with friends and people I met along the way. Service: 5

I had a lovely time at this hostel. It is a nice and clean hostel in a good location. Also super affordable and nice people work there. My personal favorite about this hostel were the salsa and bachata classes on Tuesday and Thursday. Definitely recommend! Service: 5

HONEST REVIEW - don’t fall for the fake ones!!! We were really disappointed arriving at Tiki Hostel after seeing such positive reviews, only to have the complete opposite experience. It became clear why the ratings are so high — guests are offered free drinks in exchange for 5 star reviews. In my opinion that’s completely wrong, misleading and false advertisement. The hostel felt very unclean. To begin with, when we walked in our room we were hit by a strong, unpleasant sweaty smell. The overall vibe was grim — dark decor with black bedsheets and dark patterned curtains, which just made everything feel more dingy. The curtains barely covered the bed properly so there was little privacy. The only air conditioning unit in the room was inconveniently positioned above a top bunk, meaning it had to be turned off as the person sleeping there would have been directly underneath it. This meant that the rest of the room was left unbearably hot, and only some of the beds had fans positioned above them (mine did not, which made for a very sweaty uncomfortable sleep). The shared en-suite bathroom was particularly bad: the bin hadn’t been emptied, the shower was dirty, and there were leftover toiletries from previous guests. What makes it worse is that it’s more expensive than other hostels nearby. I checked out early, firming the lost money, as after one night I couldn’t bare to stay there for another. :( Service: 1
