A five minutes walk from Golden Computer Arcade at Shum Shui Po (深水埗), Tin Yu Vegetarian (天譽素食) is a good place to sit down after a long walk and shopping. There are only a few restaurants that are in the area for competition. And usually this restaurant should not be crowded and if you walkin there should be immediate seating available without any reservation required for 99% of the time.The place do need a make over on the decoration and furniture, but does not hinder its function.The vegetarian-chinese style food is delicious and traditional desserts are offered, but the food is charged about $10 to 15HKD more. Traditional Chinese cafe (茶餐廳) style but substituted with vegetarian counterparts. Eggs can be added. Please tell them in advance if you are a vegan (no egg, no dairy).10% Service charge and "a small tea fee per head $5" applies on the top of your food cost.Recommended dishes: 1. A series of soup with rice (湯飯), for example: 勝瓜木耳素肉湯飯 $55; 2. Pumpkin spring pile risotto 南瓜春樁焗飯 $7x.
