If you’re wandering around Bang Pho and craving something truly comforting, To Grilled Duck is a hidden gem worth finding. The shop sits just off Pracharat Road, near Wiset Kai Yang, tucked inside Soi 20. Parking can be a bit tricky, but the locals have a system—leave your car in neutral with your phone number on the dashboard, and you’ll be fine. The star of the show is, of course, the grilled duck. Their method is meticulous: marinated with Chinese five-spice, pepper, and rice liquor, then air-dried overnight before being roasted in a stainless-steel oven. The result? Tender meat with a fragrant, crisp skin that’s irresistible. Honestly, it’s good enough to rival the famous roast goose served on Cathay Pacific flights. But don’t stop at just the duck. The duck stir-fried with holy basil is a knockout—spicy, aromatic, and elevated with kaffir lime leaves and yellow chilies that cut through any gaminess. Another must-order is the crab curry. Big chunks of fresh crab tossed in rich curry powder make it one of those dishes you’ll come back for again and again. In short, To Grilled Duck is more than just a roast duck shop.
