Toa Payoh Lucky Pisang Raja Block 177, Toa Payoh Central, Unit #01-176 Location = The Goreng Pisang stall is conveniently located opposite the Church of the Risen Christ and near the Toa Payoh Central Community Club. Toa Payoh Lucky Pisang Raja operates directly inside the coffee shop. ️ It is located inside Moon Sun Coffeeshop and is just a short walk (about 2 minutes) from the Toa Payoh Public Library Decor / Ambience ************************ This Pisang Goreng stall has been here at Toa Payoh Central since the early 1970s ( ie during my childhood era in Toa Payoh Town). This is a nostalgic, traditional food stall located within a bustling kopitiam. ️ The decor is simple and functional, dominated by a prominent glass display case showcasing golden-brown fritters and numerous bunches of fresh Pisang Raja bananas hanging overhead as a natural centerpiece. ______________________________________ Takeaway 4 pieces of Goreng Pisang ****************************************** Pisang Raja ( Goreng Pisang) at SGD1.50 per battered banana ie fried battered banana. The goreng pisang was freshly fried with a crisp, golden batter that was light and not overly oily.️ Inside, the Pisang Raja banana was soft, naturally sweet and fragrant, creating a delicious contrast of textures. Revising my rating to just scores for the goreng pisang (pisang raja). The pisang here is awesome and totally worth the carbs. They are the reason a person needs to carry cash in Singapore Yup do note that they accept cash only. Not even Paynow yuh. Have been buying goreng pisang here (on and off) for over 30 years. They start making the items from their opening time so some of the items may only be available some time after the opening time. Only the pisang is a 5/5 but do note sometimes consistency may vary. The other items I find are 2-3/5 impo so for me it’s just the pisang. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Banana Fritters
