We found this Korean BBQ buffet through Google Maps, and it had a lot of reviews mentioning that the owner is Korean, so we expected a good experience. When we arrived, we immediately noticed a strong smell of smoke inside the restaurant. The ventilation system was very poor, and it quickly became uncomfortable to sit there for a long time. What surprised us even more was the food storage. Side dishes like kimchi and other appetizers were kept in the same refrigerator as raw meat, all placed together without proper separation or even proper covering. This is not acceptable for a restaurant in terms of hygiene standards. The selection of food was also quite limited. There were only a few side dishes, and the variety of meats was minimal—mostly a small selection of pork, with very little else available. Overall, the experience was disappointing. In our opinion, the restaurant is barely a 2-star place. We have not seen such poor organization in Korean restaurants before. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I recently dined at Toechon Korean BBQ, and it’s a great spot for anyone who loves a serious Korean buffet experience. The highlight here is definitely the huge selection. From a wide variety of marinated meats — pork belly, beef, chicken — to classic Korean side dishes (banchan), there’s plenty to choose from. The self-serve buffet style makes it easy to try a bit of everything, and you can go back for your favorites as many times as you like. The meat quality is solid for a buffet, and grilling it fresh at the table makes the whole experience fun and interactive. I especially enjoyed pairing the grilled pork belly with lettuce wraps, kimchi, and dipping sauces — simple but very satisfying. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
