If you want quality food for a cheap lunch or dinner then eat here. I've tried both the Pad Thai and Pizza, both were excellent and great value. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1–200

The problem with reviews is many people will gravitate towards the highly reviewed places, but me I find the reviews not always very accurate. This is why I skipped Garlic 1992 and went to Tom Yam. They had MassamanChicken on the special board, and am a fiend for it. I like mine quite mild,so if you prefer yours more spicy be sure to ask them. The hostess is very sweet. I ordered Massaman chicken, a side of rice, a cole, and a Thai Iced Tea. All for only 220 Baht. Are you kidding? Really great service, really great food, really great price. The atmosphere is great too. Like most of the places here, it's open air, so if you want A/C and all that, perhaps Thailand isn't for you. We came to Tom Yam for local food and we were not disappointed. They had promotions on many Thai dishes. I am gluten free (Ceoliac) and they were able to accommodate this by removing soy sauce/oyester sauce from dishes. Staff were welcoming and helpful with menu options for gluten free. Lots of flavour in the food. Cheap drinks. A really good choice for local food that is good value for money.
