Here’s a polished Google review that sounds personal and balanced: We had a fantastic evening at Toma y Toma and would happily return. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Thursday without a reservation and had no problem getting a table. It was fairly quiet, which made for a relaxed atmosphere, and we stayed until around 10:30pm. The cocktails are clearly the star of the show. The staff explained each drink as it was served, which was a really nice touch. We tried five different cocktails and every one was beautifully made and full of character. The standout for me was the Queso & Cola Sour. sounds bizarre on paper, but it absolutely works and was one of the most memorable cocktails I’ve had in a while. We also ordered the chicken skin crisps and Tigre mussel croquetas. The crisps were addictive, but the accompanying salsa was the real highlight—fresh, vibrant and packed with flavour. In fact, I’d happily have had that salsa served around the rim of my Three-Salt Picante margarita. My only minor criticism was that the Three-Salt Picante wasn’t quite as spicy as I’d hoped. Given the name, I expected a little more heat, but that’s a very small point in what was otherwise an excellent experience. Friendly, knowledgeable service, inventive cocktails and delicious bar snacks make this a place I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different in Bangkok.
