The staff didn't speak much English but we were made to feel very welcome. There is wifi so google translate helped. The steak was excellent. I asked for veg instead of noodles - no problem. I was served a delicious steak with a fried egg and mixed veg including broccoli and cauliflower and a very tasty soup. There is self serve soft drink including coke no sugar included. And just when you thought you couldn't eat any more we were given a single serve tub of strawberry ice cream, also included. Great value!!! Highly recommended. Note that it is cash only and a 10% charge is added to the menu price. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Whenever we're holidaying in Taipei, a visit to the Ximending Walking District is always on our itinerary — not just to soak in the lively atmosphere, but also to enjoy a meal or two. This vibrant area is known for its wide variety of delicious and affordable food options. This time, we were in the mood for steak and decided to try Tomato Steak House after reading its many positive reviews on Google. The restaurant is conveniently located just outside the walking district. Upon entering, we were promptly seated and handed the menu. We ordered the 10 oz ribeye steak and the 8 oz filet mignon, and were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant also offers free-flow soup, garlic bread, and soft drinks with every meal. When our steaks arrived, the generous portion sizes immediately caught our attention. Each dish came with a sunny-side-up egg, broccoli, and a side of spaghetti. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare, while the filet mignon was medium well — both were incredibly juicy and tender. To top it off, we were served ice cream at the end of our meal. Overall, the dining experience exceeded our expectations. The quality, quantity, and price point made this meal excellent value for money.
