The private pool villas was absolutely beautiful. The pool was clean, peaceful, and completely private—perfect for a quiet dip at any time of day surrounded by green trees rice field and the sound of birds. The outdoor seating area was great for reading or just soaking in the view. Most of all, it was the people who made the stay special. The hosts were kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help while giving you space to relax. Service: 5

This is a hard review to write, because I was so excited about Thailand and this tranquil resort that we booked. But with the Thai weather and humidity, I understand that any wood structure does not stand a chance to staying in good condition. So the wood of everything was a bit more degraded then the photos, the plank pathways, the structures, the net hammocks, the inside of the rooms. The shower was open air so you have to feel comfortable with bugs. We didn't get mosquitos in the rooms which I was grateful for. On the other hand, the service was great, the food you get for breakfast was awesome and wonderfully presented, the cafe on the property had great food as well and was cool inside. The ac's in the rooms weren't very strong so it was hot and muggy and a bit dark. The resort was about 25 minutes from town, because there is no highway just surface streets. But it's really easy to get a "grab" or bolt which is like Uber and cheap for about 150-200 baht like $4.62 and you don't tip Service: 5

Tongna Cottage Natural Resort is surrounded by natural beauty and offers a rustic, serene atmosphere. We stayed in the Family Pool Villa (FPV), which has three bedrooms (each with its own shower), a private pool, and an outdoor family table. While the shower temperature and pressure were good, the pool was too cold during our winter stay, making it less enjoyable. The resort is designed for family holidays but comes with several inconveniences. There is no telephone in the villa, and all communication, including room service, must be done via LINE. The staff was polite and patient, but service delays were noticeable, likely due to the high volume of guests during the year-end holiday. The kitchen closed unexpectedly at 8:30 PM without any prior notice, which caused issues for dinner plans. The outdoor dining table near the pool was not ideal for accommodating three families, making it a bit challenging to enjoy meals together. While the villa was spacious, it felt less convenient for a large group of six adults and six children. The road to the resort is narrow and can be dangerous to drive at night, so extra caution is needed. Despite these downsides, the resort is still a good choice for family holidays, especially for kids. My toddler loved the adventure park, the pool, and spending time with cousins, which made the trip worthwhile. However, it’s not a place I’d return to for its overall experience. It’s good for family bonding, but it may not meet all expectations for comfort and convenience. Service: 2
