珍しい(と勝手に思っている)韓国資本のトンカツ屋さん。日本式のとんかつではあるものの、揚げた豚カツを炭火で焼いて炭の香りをつけるなど、日本には馴染みのない料理方法なので、味も含め日本人にはかなり賛否両論な気がしますが、個人的にはユニークで面白い味でした。. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40

The food is amazing. Besides the tonkatsu that's crispy and juicy and not oily, even the sides are awesome. The rice was fluffy and fragrant. The assortment of condiments is one of the best in Singapore and far exceeds just the regular konkatsu sauce. Service of staff is peak. Went late at 4pm and didn't want to eat too full. So we decided to order one set to share and yet the chef brought us an entire plate of Katsu sando as it was someone's wrong order. Came with the works of rice, kimchee and soup. Sign of a great restaurant is when your staff has autonomy to make smart decisions that delight customers. If I can give ten stars, I would have. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited Tonshou for lunch with a teammate, and we both ordered the Hokkaido Kurobuta Rosu Katsu. Although I’ve heard there are branches in Korea, this was my first time trying it. I didn’t go in with particularly high expectations, but it turned out to be the best Japanese-style tonkatsu I’ve had in Singapore. The way the meat and the crispy coating were perfectly cooked together made both the texture and flavor stand out. It was incredibly well-balanced and satisfying. The condiments—wasabi, mustard, and tonkatsu sauce—were all neatly presented and complemented the dish very well. The seating is bar-style, which might feel a bit less comfortable for families. Still, the quality of the food alone makes it absolutely worth visiting. I’d definitely come back again, and next time, I’d love to bring my family along.
