Famous for fish congee and the broth is unique. Liver is crispy but not soft. fish belly is fresh but not crispy. Meat ball is just ok. Good view at the peak branch. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–100

Had a fantastic meal at Trusty Congee King (靠得住). Their Noodles with Shrimp Wonton were one of the best I had in Hong Kong. The wontons were plump and fresh, and the noodles were perfectly cooked without the usual alkaline taste that some Cantonese noodles have. I also appreciated that the soup was refillable. The Pork Liver and Scallops Congee was excellent. It was smooth, flavourful, and very comforting. Definitely one of the best bowls of congee I’ve had. The barley water was another highlight. It had a subtle hint of ginger, which made it very unique and refreshing. Overall, a very satisfying and memorable meal. Highly recommended if you enjoy traditional Hong Kong congee and noodles.
