Our first visit to Tso Choi Restaurant was overall enjoyable. Most of the dishes were well-prepared and flavorful. The standout was definitely the fried fish—crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The braised pigeon, however, was on the tough side and didn’t quite meet expectations. The pork lard rice was also a bit underwhelming; we later learned that ordering a tub instead of a bowl makes a difference, since it allows you to mix the oil and sauce yourself for better flavor. Despite a couple of misses, the quality of the majority of dishes makes this a place worth revisiting, especially for the fried fish.
