Food here is pretty much average, the fried egg and catfish was soaked in oil, which is abit gross. But environment is okay, service was okay too. But I won’t be recommending this place to others. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿600–800 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Got food poisoning, food arrives rly slowly. Everything on menu is spicy, if u ask for no spice they will still add chili pepper. The fried rice was soft not chewy kind . Small portions tapas style, 750 bht 4 items. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Not as Good as It Used to Be This was my third time eating at Tumkratoei Sagate at Silom Edge, and I’ve got to say, it didn’t quite hit the mark this time. I ordered the Miang Pla Pow, their grilled tapioca fish that’s usually a highlight, but the fish wasn’t as fresh as it should’ve been. The texture was off, too soft and almost mushy, which was disappointing. What makes it harder to overlook is that I’ve been to their branch in Khon Kaen, and it was way better across the board. You could really taste the difference in quality and care. Compared to that, this Bangkok branch feels like it’s slipping a bit. I’ve always liked Tumkratoei for its bold flavors and fun take on Isaan food, but something’s changed. I hope it’s just an off day, but it definitely felt like a step down from what it used to be.
