We came to the Ultimate Buffet Shabu & Grill during their lunch rush on a Tuesday in March. We had to wait outside for a bit because they were so popular with the locals, but it was 100% worth it. After being seated, the servers did literally everything to take care of all of our needs. Our initial large order came out almost immediately, as did every subsequent dish that we asked for. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this may be the most attentive wait staff I’ve ever had. The second our drink or dipping sauce was running low, they were on it. The second our grill needed to be changed, they were on it. The second we looked up to get their attention, they were on it. The item selection was quite extensive, and we felt that, given the quality of the food, the price was more than justified. I’m just passing through Surat Thani, but if I lived here, I would be back regularly. If you are considering eating here, you absolutely should. It is as good of a meal as we’ve had on our trip, and hands down the best service we’ve received in Thailand. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
