I visited this place at the end of January. The service here was honestly AWFUL. Stay away, especially if you are a tourist. The food was okay, but everything else was a nightmare. We waited forever—at least 15 minutes for every single order—while people at tables next to us got their food way faster. It felt like the staff was completely ignoring us. They kept forgetting our drinks and mixing up the food. We’d order three things and they’d only bring one, or just forget the rest entirely. The worst part happened at the end. They brought us several dishes we never even ordered. When we told them we didn't want them and asked to take them back, the staff got aggressive. They tried to force us to pay for them, claiming we just 'didn't want to finish our meal.' It felt like a total scam to get more money out of us. Super unprofessional, slow and rude. Umi Shabu Buffet Samui is our go-to spot for cheat day! My husband and I come here whenever we want to truly indulge, and it never disappoints. The value for money is amazing — affordable prices with a great à la carte selection that makes the experience totally worth it. The 2-hour all-you-can-eat buffet gives plenty of time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed, and the quality is more than satisfying for the price. If you’re looking for a place to eat well, eat a lot, and still feel like you got a great deal, this is definitely the spot. We’ll keep coming back!
