Went here on my last night in Seoul, the ambiance was stunning, the food was delicious and the service was even better. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₩50,000–60,000

At a glance: Extremely foreigner friendly/ exceptionally clean/ amazing atmosphere/food that makes you feel emotional. Wow, what to say about this absolute GEM of a bar. I found it purely by accident.... I saw the fancy sign amongst the bright lights and as a tourist my curiosity kicked in. When I descended to the bar I was hit by the atmosphere...a perfect blend of style and comfort. There were Afghan rugs across the floor and fancy up lighting against the industrial style ceiling. I sat at the bar and was greeted warmly by the staff and the owner who was extremely friendly and spoke in very good clear English. He was able to clearly explain the difference in wines and which ones would compliment the food I wanted (we will get to this) and they had a large collection of natural (organic) wines. As I am from Britain...I was keen to try the pork belly as it came with mashed potatoe. And I fell in love with the first bite. To cut the pork felt like cutting butter with a warm knife! It was soooo tender. And absolutely full of flavour...before I knew it....I had finished the whole thing and was seriously contemplating getting another serving out of sheer gluttony. The portion size was absolutely perfect, however it was sooo tasty I felt like I needed more. However I restrained myself. After sending a few photos of the food and the surroundings I managed to convince a friend who was nearby to join me. She proceeded to order even more amazing food which I will include photos of below. The dishes had a very European feel and I questioned the staff about the chef. Before I knew it...the absolutely charming chef came out for a chat. He explained he had studied and worked in Paris and the owner has also studied french cuisine and I could really feel the Parisian flare within the menu. Unexpectedly the chef prepared a duck steak meal for us to sample completely free of charge which is honestly soo kind as he wanted the opinion of a European...and I can tell how passionate they are about expressing their vision through their food. Now, this isn't something I usually comment on as it's not something I usually pay too much attention to. However....I couldn't help notice how clean everything was. I first noticed it when going to the bathroom...I tend to find the toilets in Korean bars and restaurants less that appealing, and avoid at all if possible. However the toilet here was extremely clean...and had many little toiletries and products to use. Along with the bathrooms I noticed the staff were thoroughly cleaning each glass in like a 3-4 step process and examining each glass vigorously. And between handling the glasses/cleaning station and dealing with customer payments/clearing plates/serving food...they were constantly spraying their hands with disinfectant mist to avoid any cross contamination. I remember thinking 'my friend with OCD would love this place!' Price....now admittedly I don't know the exact amount. My friend is Korean and wanted to treat me on one of my last days in Seoul so took care of the bill. She did remark that we were given a small discount and that also she has paid A LOT more for less in other places in Seoul. So I don't feel knowledgeable enough to speak too much on this particular topic. All in all a memorable visit and I will definitely be visiting again if I return to Seoul. I'm not an influencer or food critic. I was not invited to attend or review this bar. Nor did I receive any monetary incentives to write this review. I'm not even an avid reviewers lol ..and everywhere is Seoul is of such high quality...but this bar went completely above and beyond to provide a great dining/drinking experience...I genuinely felt compelled to leave a glowing review.
