The place looks great. Embarrassing portions. 4 out 5 pastas came cold. Starters are max 2 small bites. Food quality is below avarage for nearby Ao Nang village low budget standards where the prices are 60-70% lower. Talked to the nice lady who was in charge at the moment. She has no authorities at all. Obviously the Sofitel group is doing a strict corporative cost cutting policy. Do what ever it takes to make extra dollar. What a pitty. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I don’t usually write reviews unless something had an effect on me…Two families, 8 people had dinner. Portions are humiliating how small they are. I got 3, THREE shrimps as a starter. 4 people ordered pastas and it was the same.. The pasta was cold or lukewarm, hard pasta, chunks of pepper. The melanzana starter was so insulting. It was one singular bite size at best. Embarrassing to call it (and price it) a starter. We were in shock, it’s like a joke. Bland food. We had to order so many things just to feel full. This is not a proper Italian restaurant as someone who has been to Italy MANY times, and to advertise it as some luxury is a lie. Horrifying experience. The manager was kind for our complaints but nothing special. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

We had a terrific experience at Ristorante Venezia. We enjoyed the first night so much that we ate there again on the 2nd night. We had family sized pasta (bolognaise, lobster and beef cheek) with gluten free pasta (spaghetti and penne), white anchovies crostini with gluten free bread, beef tartare and prawns. The gluten free options were super impressive, best in Thailand. We asked to see the chef (chef Bow) to thank him. He explained that the pasta sauces take 4 hours to cook and that is why they are so rich in flavour. Everything was impressively tasty. Service was excellent (thank you Khun Jeab and team). I live in Phuket and this has been my favourite dining experience in Thailand.
