From the moment I walked in, the café felt like a warm hug—cozy, inviting, and instantly comforting. The staff were attentive, and the black sesame matcha latte was unbelievably good. The location is perfect: directly across from Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road, tucked into a charming stretch of antique stores between Central and Sheung Wan. They offer wine during social hours, pastries, and a breakfast plate I didn’t get a chance to try. It’s an ideal spot to sit, relax, and soak in the neighborhood vibe. I have been here before, the experience is good, the matcha is good. However, my visit this time is a bit disappointing. The music is a bit too loud. Also, the match. it literally taste like grass It was much better last time, I’m not sure if they change the matcha powder or what. You can see the green is not as vibrant as a good matcha should have. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

It’s my first time at the cafe; another recommendation from my friend who visited them earlier in the year. If huge crowds aren’t your thing, Venner offers a solitude in HK’s hustle and bustle. You can definitely enjoy their bakes, drinks, and music on a slow morning :) Price per person: $1–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Alternative milk
