We came here thinking it was the old Venus restaurant from Jalan Malu Malu in Sembawang which was one of our favourite Indian restaurants. However this is a totally different entity but the food is great. We had the mutton masala and the unique curry which had a bit of chutney taste to it (can't remember the name). We were there about 5 in the evening so had the chance to chat with Shiva. Explained to him that the signboard above the restaurant should say "Venus Banana Leaf Restaurant" since "Venus Restaurant" alone doesnt say what kind of food you serve (most Indian Restaurants have indian names), especially when the restaurant is quite hidden and slighy below street level. Anyway I'm glad we discovered Venus and we'll be back soon!
