Their chicken can pass as consistent. Their failure is their chilli. Almost all the time is diluted to extreme watery and tasteless. I have many time try to converse to the owner. I think she is the owner, the one with dye hair color. The reason she not opening other outlet is consistency. However she fail to see the chicken rice chili is way off.

The chicken at this eatery is so nice and u get 2 deeply fried wings for 1 packet of chicken rice at $5. They also have steamed chicken if u prefer that. The lady serving at the front is very polite, meticulous and very efficient with the orders. She is also generous with providing more chilli sauce when requested. Great food will visit again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Donkeys years ago, if you were hanging around Capitol Theatre & the old National Library (near city hall) during your school days, especially for a casual date, you might have stopped by a humble pushcart tucked in the lane behind Capitol Theatre, near Colombo Court, before heading over to Funan Centre. That was where the carona fried chicken stall first made its name back in the 80s & 90s, later moving into Funan Centre. Students & office workers all knew it. The owner eventually sold the business, but after more than twenty years, came back to revive it once the contract ended. Now renamed Victor Famous Fried Chicken Wing Rice & Hainanese Chicken Rice. The wings are lightly battered - thin, pale golden, nice crunch, not greasy & still juicy inside. The chilli is the old school kind, a bit watery, tangy, garlicky, with that sharp kick. Simple food, but shiok. Really brings back that nostalgic, old school taste for our generation. Meal type: Brunch Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
