I walked along the park connector from Kallang mrt, then stumbled upon this hawker centre in Circuit Road. Quite surprised to find a vegetarian satay stall there. A bit expensive though, $15 for 10 sticks, but I am glad I tried it. It was so good, my wife asked for more otah. If you buy satay form the stall , talk to the uncle. He is very friendly. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Veg Satay

Serves allium-free vegetarian versions of local favourites like Satay (grilled mock meat with sweet peanut sauce) and the aromatic Otah-Otah (grilled spicy veggie paste). Do check with the friendly staff on which items are fully vegan if you avoid all animal products. Prices seem to have gone up, but then again, so has everything else in Singapore. My plate of 10 delicious Satay sticks and 2 Otah-Otah came up to $17 ($12 for the Satay, $5 for the Otah-Otah). Still worth it ~ I’m worth it, and deserve to be pampered.
