My recent visit to Viet Cuisine at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) offered a convenient escape from the convention buzz. The atmosphere is generally pleasant – relaxed and not overly crowded, which is always a plus. The staff were attentive and friendly, offering good service throughout my meal. It’s a decent spot if you’re looking for a quick and comfortable bite within the QSNCC. Now, let’s talk about the food. There was one dish that truly shone and deserves all the accolades: the Black Pepper Marinated Pork Ribs with Vermicelli. This dish was an absolute revelation! The pork ribs were incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone, yet still had those delightful, slightly crunchy soft bone bits that add such a satisfying texture. The black pepper marinade was a symphony of perfectly balanced, aromatic flavors. This dish is a solid 5-star winner and a definite must-try; it’s so well-executed and memorable that it instantly became a new favorite. If you visit, you have to order this! Another highlight was the fresh vegetables provided. They were crisp, vibrant, and really complemented the dishes well, adding a refreshing balance to the meal. A definite thumbs up for the quality of the greens! Moving on, I tried the Grilled Pork with Betel Leaves. Served piping hot, it was a pleasant dish. While it didn’t quite reach the ‘wow’ factor for me, it was far from disappointing. A solid, enjoyable choice if you’re looking for something reliable and tasty. Finally, the Pork Sausage Pho. The noodles were nicely soft, which was a good start. However, the overall flavor profile was a bit understated, and I found myself wishing for some accompanying pho sauce to really bring out its potential. It was decent, but didn’t quite leave a lasting impression, feeling a bit ordinary without that extra kick. In summary, Viet Cuisine at QSNCC offers a comfortable setting and excellent service, with one truly exceptional dish that stands head and shoulders above the rest. While some items might be more understated, the overall experience, especially with those incredible pork ribs and fresh veggies, makes it a viable option for a Vietnamese meal!!
