ホイアンのようなデコレーションです。もう少しベトナム人コミィニティで団結して通りをアクティブにした方が良いと思います。ウドンタニで唯一ベトナム語が話す機会があったのはホーチミン歴史博物館の方だけでした。この通りに来ればベトナム人が沢山いて、ベトナム語で話せると思ったけど、通り自体に活気がない

A disappointment. We heard about this Vietnamese town and was expecting a full block of vendors, but instead, there were only a couple dozens or less, and this was on a Saturday. We asked one of the vendors where we can find pho noodle soup. She gave us a blank look, so we had to tell her it's the Vietnamese beef noodle soup. She pointed us to a restaurant down the block. We later asked a few vendors where we can find bánh mi with fresh baguette. One vendor said she has never heard of baguette. A second vendor said her grandmother used to make it, and there's no freshly made baguette in this Vietnam town market. So we gave up on the idea of eating a delicious bánh mi sandwich like we did in Vietnam. Next try is bánh xèo. It's all about the batter, the dipping sauce, and the herbs. A delicate crispy, light, soft, slightly chewy and savory crêpes filled with ground pork and shrimp, bean sprouts, and onions. Wrapped in lettuce, loaded with various herbs and dipped into the infamous Vietnamese fish sauce, nuoc cham. Well, she got the batter and fillings right, but there's no lettuce or herbs offered and the dipping sauce tasted more like the dipping sauce for the Thai's "tod mun", fried fish cake patty. We also tried the Vietnamese iced coffee. Nope. Not even close. Last attempt, pho noodle soup. We asked the waitress what's her best pho noodle soup. She said she has never heard of pho noodle soup, but she has beef noodle soup. We realized then that our dream of eating a hot bowl of pho has vanished and this Vietnam Town Market definitely didn't live up to our expectation. If you have eaten food in Vietnam, it's not worth the hassle to come here. We gave the two-star rating just because the vendors were nice. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
