Bar Docent is, without question, the best whisky bar in Korea. The selection alone puts it in a league of its own, with an incredible lineup of Scotch ranging from everyday classics to true unicorn bottles you almost never see poured anywhere. What really makes Bar Docent special is the value. The prices are surprisingly fair, especially for rare and highly sought-after Scotch whiskies, making it possible to try bottles that would normally be out of reach. Owner Park Suhyun is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about whisky. His depth of understanding shows in every recommendation, and he’s always happy to talk about distilleries, casks, and maturation. A standout highlight is that he even offers pours from a couple of private casks he personally owns and can sell, which is a rare opportunity for any serious whisky lover. I also love that Bar Docent offers 15 ml pour options, allowing you to sample multiple whiskies in one visit and really explore different styles without overcommitting. If whisky is your focus, Bar Docent isn’t just great — it’s essential.

They have a good selection of whisky. I told them what I liked then they made a flight of similar whisky. Friendly and reasonably priced. Cozy vibes Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
