I ordered the beef sirloin steak priced at $1,160 NTD (about $38 USD), which is on the pricier side, so I was expecting a quality dish. Unfortunately, the steak came out completely raw. I let my server know, and she kindly told me it was medium to medium-rare. Once I moved it under the lamp to show how raw it actually was, she immediately took it back to the kitchen and apologized, which I truly appreciated. No knock on the server, she was very professional and polite. The real disappointment was with the chef—serving a raw steak like that at a high-end hotel restaurant is unacceptable. Even worse, the chef didn’t bother coming out to apologize or acknowledge the mistake. My stay at the hotel itself was excellent, but I’d strongly recommend avoiding WA-RA, the restaurant. There are much better dining options within the same hotel that are worth your money. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
