Wagyu Hot Pot serves excellent Japanese beef and pork shabu-shabu. Even as someone who isn’t usually a fan of pork, I was pleasantly surprised — it was outstanding. Portions are generous (even for a group of hungry men), and the sake selection is good and fairly priced. One note: skip the wine. I’m not sure what it was, but it definitely didn’t taste like wine. We paid about ¥11,500 per person for the top-tier meat including the sake. It’s not cheap, but with the current exchange rate it still feels like good value compared to prices back home. Suggestion for the kitchen: It would be great to provide two separate bowls for the shabu-shabu sauces (sesame and ponzu) and to offer a bit more sauce overall. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
