We stopped at West da Base in Awaji during our road trip for dinner and it was such a beautiful experience. The owners are a couple and seriously such sweet souls. We were starving, and she brought us sum sides for free. Like genuine no charge for them. It was such a pure act of kindness. They got us our food, and it was an absolute delight. They also took the time and spoke with us about Japan and stuff, making us feel so welcomed. And as we were bout to leave, they gave us Poky (for any of you guys who do not know, it is a yummy chocolate stick). It is so rare to find strangers who show you so much love and hospitality. If you are in Awaji, you absolutely need to eat here! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
