We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to Whisky Bar Brownie – it turned out to be one of the best bar experiences we’ve ever had. The bartender, Mr. Sakaida, is a true whisky expert with a deep knowledge and passion for his craft. He not only offered us excellent recommendations but also explained each whisky with care and enthusiasm, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. Despite the language barrier, his English was excellent, and even more importantly, he was so kind and welcoming that we immediately felt comfortable. My wife usually doesn’t drink whisky, but Mr. Sakaida created a few beautifully balanced, gentle cocktails for her, and she absolutely loved them – a rare achievement! What made the evening even more special was his genuine hospitality. Beyond the drinks, he took the time to share recommendations for places to visit in Sapporo, which showed how much he cared about giving guests a truly memorable experience. Whisky Bar Brownie is a cozy and elegant spot with an outstanding selection, but it’s Mr. Sakaida’s warmth, expertise, and passion that make it truly exceptional.
