大衆食堂なので、テイクアウトにしました。 注文した内容は、ローストダックと羊肉のカレーライス。テイクアウト用の容器に入れて貰えました。 ローストダックは、不要な油分は落とされているにも関わらず柔らかく、とても美味しかったです。 羊肉は、骨付きなので、身は少ないですが、とてもジュシーで、カレーとマッチしていました。 カレーは、キーマーカレー風でした。 かなり、お安くいただけたかと、思います。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100

Wai Kee Halal Restaurant is literally inside the wet market building in Wan Chai. While air conditioned, it's noisy, cramped, and very local. If you go during weekday lunch, good luck. The office crowd floods the place and it’s chaos. You’re squeezing between tables, people hovering, staff moving fast. It’s not a chill meal. But the mutton curry is why you’re here. And it’s seriously good. The halal mutton curry with rice is rich, properly spiced, and deeply satisfying. The mutton was tender, generous, and not stingy at all. The curry sauce is the kind you just want to drown your rice in. It’s bold without being messy in flavour. This is comfort food done right. Presentation? Rough. Very rough. It looks like someone just scooped and served. But honestly, who cares. You’re not here for plating. Pricing is very affordable, especially for Hong Kong. You leave full and happy without feeling like you’ve been robbed. Service is very Hong Kong. Fast, blunt, no smiles. Not warm, not friendly, just efficient. If you expect hospitality, you’ll be disappointed. If you just want your food quickly, you’ll be fine. Overall, Wai Kee is not pretty, not comfortable, and not charming. But that mutton curry is legit. Come for that. Ignore everything else.
