Wake Café （喚醒咖啡） on Fuxing North Road was a great find while I was travelling in Taipei and always on the lookout for a new coffee shop to try. It wasn't far from my hotel, which made it an easy stop, and the place itself had a cute, welcoming feel right from the storefront with its distinctive sign and cozy interior. The staff were fantastic and genuinely friendly, which made the visit feel warm rather than transactional. The coffee itself was delicious, well made and clearly prepared with care, and I appreciated that the prices were reasonable for the quality on offer. I also tried the chocolate waffle, which was a little on the dry side, but the flavour was still good, and it wasn't enough of an issue to take away from the overall experience. It was a minor note in what was otherwise a really solid stop. Between the friendly staff, the great coffee, and the fair prices, this is exactly the kind of neighbourhood café I love finding while travelling.
