Sorry to say, but the food is sub par. Price is not cheap either. I dont understand why people open shops just to sell tasteless and no quality food. Been here few times. The nasi ayam penyek, sold only with ayam and some soggy keropok, no tempeh or tahu, yet sold nearly $7. Sambal belacan is whack, with thick gel like consistency. I bought soto nasi, just to see it seperate from the soup and water. Tasteless. Hope they fire the cook and find a better one. There are hardly any Nasi Padang options in Novena. Hence, I’m glad to discover this stall in the cafeteria of Revenue House. Food quality is surprisingly good - I had the beef rendang, fried tempeh, otah, asam pedas gravy on the rice. Don’t expect ambience or service quality here, it’s a very busy lunchtime crowd and Makcik prefers transactions to be quick and quiet. If you want to know any item prices, just refer to the display board which is fairly accurate.
