2020年にこの場所を船で訪問しました。洞穴はすばらしかったのですが、船着場に戻る際に二人組の若い男に追いかけられました。走って逃げて、船に逃げ込みましたが、彼らは船着場まで追ってきました。よい場所だったのに最悪の思い出になりました。しっかりと取り締まってもらいたいです。皆さんも訪問する際には気を付けて下さい。

When you are in Kanchanaburi take the tour and visit Wat Tham Khao Pun. The Cave tempel. Wat Tham Khao Pun is one of Kanchanaburi’s most atmospheric cave temples, known for its nine interconnected chambers, spiritual atmosphere, and layers of natural and wartime history. It lies about 6 km from Kanchanaburi town. What makes it special • A cave system with nine rooms, each featuring Buddha statues, Hindu shrines, and dramatic rock formations. • Natural chambers with stalactites, stalagmites, and narrow passages that create a mystical, adventurous feel. • A colony of bats, adding to the cave’s natural character (and smell!). • A hilltop chedi offering views over the surrounding landscape. ️ Historical significance Wat Tham Khao Pun is also tied to WWII history. • The Japanese army used the area as a medical center (Khao Poon Hospital) during the construction of the Death Railway.
