Not recommend. Not worth, cabs to commute are too costly, entry fee is dynamic and abnormally expensive with just one complimentary drink, they accept only cash. Much better party places are in Bangkok, and you will have lot of options. Just enjoy the natural beauty in Koh Phangan. Price per person: ฿2,000+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I had an absolute blast here. I have been to dozens of festivals across the USA, including Burning Man, and Waterfall Festival would easily rank as a top tier festival there. Or if not TOP tier, one tier below that. I was a bit worried coming in that this would be a cash-grab poorly organized frat party cosplaying as a "festival", but that was not the case at all. Waterfall Festival is clearly organized by people with a deep understanding and love of rave culture, and I met a lot of really cool people. From the moment I arrived at 9:30PM to when I left at 3AM, the music on the main stage was absolutely FIRE, even though I had no idea who any of the DJs were. The main stage was a beautiful mix of mostly instrumental techno and house music that made me want to DANCE. The fire spinners at the main stage were also TOP tier. I have seen a LOT of fire spinning in my day, and this was no amateur hour flow jam fire circle - these guys put on a really good show. They looked like local Thai people too. I'd highly recommend Waterfall Festival to anybody if you're in Koh Phangan and want to dance, meet cool people, expand your mind, and have one of the best Wednesday nights ever. You can flag down a songthaew to take you there from Thong Sala for 200-400 baht, and 200 on the way back. There are also motorbike taxi drivers who will take you back home for 400-600 baht. Price per person: ฿2,000+
