A Perfect Day Trip Escape from the Concrete Jungle! We took a quick day trip to Cheung Chau from Central, which was a pleasant 55-minute ferry ride. It’s the perfect getaway if you want to escape Hong Kong's crowded high-rises. Here are the highlights from our trip: 時來食坊 (Famous Fish Balls): Absolutely delicious! We tried both the Tom Yum and Satay flavors, and both were incredible. Pro-tip: Make sure you buy them from this exact stall and not the competitor directly opposite it! 長洲平記 (Mango Mochi): Super fresh and highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. 平安包 (Ping On Bun): You can't leave Cheung Chau without trying this iconic local blessing bun. A great cultural experience. Tung Wan Beach: Located just a short walk away. While it was quite packed with tourists, it still offered a wonderful, refreshing break from the city. Highly recommend spending a day here for great street food and island vibes! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
