My recent visit to Wet Finger Restaurant was an experience I wish I could forget. From the moment I stepped through the doors, it was evident that this establishment was sorely lacking in every aspect of a fine dining experience. Let's start with the ambiance, or lack thereof. The interior decor was outdated and shabby, with faded wallpaper and mismatched furniture that gave off a vibe more akin to a run-down diner than a respectable restaurant. The lighting was dim, casting a gloomy pall over the entire dining area, further detracting from any semblance of a welcoming atmosphere. But ambiance aside, it was the food that truly left a sour taste in my mouth. The menu boasted a selection of uninspired dishes, with no creative flair or innovative offerings to be found. I opted for the chef's special, hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but what arrived at my table was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. The dish was overcooked and underseasoned, with flavors so bland they might as well have not been there at all. It was clear that no care or attention had been put into its preparation, leaving me wondering why I had bothered to waste my time and money. And don't even get me started on the service. It was abysmal, to say the least. The waitstaff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the needs of the diners. It took an eternity for my order to arrive, and when it did, it was lukewarm at best. Throughout the meal, my water glass sat empty for far too long, and any attempts to flag down a server for assistance were met with indifference. In conclusion, my experience at Wet Finger Restaurant was nothing short of a disappointment. From the lackluster ambiance to the subpar food and dismal service, there is simply no redeeming quality to be found. Save yourself the headache and dine elsewhere. The place is small yet well decorated, and has a nice vibe to it. The sandwiches are exactly what you expect, being hearty and a little greasy, and very tasty. I think the meal set is the perfect size. The grease isn't the best for your stomach the next day, but it's the same as any fast food... They take a little while to make fresh, so don't expect it instantly. 10-15 minutes was my experiences both times I went. A worthwhile experience overall!
