It was our first time at the restaurant after passing by many times and hoped it would be a great new go-to spot for us, as we live very close by. We ordered the corn ribs, the mussels, clams, yum talay, tomato and burrata salad, truffle mushroom soup and pork neck. The food was quite delicious and we were especially impressed by the tomato and burrata salad. Unfortunately, what we were not so impressed with was the service that neither matched the food nor the atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff was not friendly and also does not have the most presentable attitude, quite casual and left drinks on a table next to us to self serve, similar to what I would find at the "guay deow stall" next door. They do not check on guests and we had to try several times to get their attention, since they were busy chatting, and we were the only table in the restaurant so it was definitely not busy. The staff was more friendly towards the end after we paid. We hope that there will be more training for the staff to not only be more service minded, but business minded too. For the location, I would presume long-term and returning consumers would be the main target. As someone who works in the hospitality industry myself, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere can definitely make or break an experience. We will not return in the meantime, but hope that there will be improvements and we will return again one day to try.
