One of the better bowls of porridge in town, I would say. However, the youtiao portion is a little stingy. I ordered a bowl of pork porridge and later went to get some extra youtiao from a stall called Yong Hua You Tiao, which was pretty good. After a while, I noticed the lady boss (or helper) from Wong Porridge also buying youtiao from Yong Hua You Tiao, so I guess you all know where their youtiao supply comes from. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The porridge is perfectly cooked and blended well with the meats and condiments. I think taste any MSG , that’s really something unusually for these days Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been coming to this porridge shop since I was a kid (spoiler alert, I’m expecting my own kid now). It’s family-run by a lovely older couple, and the porridge has always been simple, hearty, and comforting. They open as early as 4–5am and often sell out by early afternoon, so calling ahead helps. A humble place run with so much care — truly one of those rare local gems that feel like home. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5
