This is my second visit to Y Dessert and I must say I’m still in love with their desserts! My favourite is the Black Glutinous Rice with Vanilla Ice Cream, it’s rich, fragrant, and comforting. My husband really enjoys their Durian Chendol, and today my kids tried their new Coffee Ice, which was refreshing, though I personally feel the coffee flavour could be a little stronger. Overall, the desserts and prices are very reasonable, and the quality remains consistent. However, there’s some room for improvement in the service experience. We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 pm, and there was only one staff member on duty. I can understand it might be stressful handling everything alone, but I do feel that a warmer tone and a friendly smile would make the experience even better. When my order was ready, I could hear the staff call out “Glutinous Rice” rather plainly. A more polite or welcoming tone could really enhance the atmosphere, especially since service plays such a big part in the overall dining experience. That said, I truly appreciate the effort put into their desserts, and I’ll definitely be back again. With just a little improvement in customer service, this place could easily become a top favourite dessert spot!

Tried their coffee ice dessert expecting it to be rich and fragrant, but it turned out weak and disappointing. The only redeeming part was the scoop of coconut ice cream. Wouldn’t recommend this one. The mango pomelo ice, on the other hand, was really good — mix it well, and it tastes even better!

Delicious AND affordable desserts!! It might look like just a dainty little shop, but the quality of desserts rarely dissapoints. Personally, I enjoy the watermelon ice, red bean ice, coffee ice and strawberry ice (best enjoyed during strawberry season). The watermelon ice is very refreshing on a usual hot day in singapore :)
