Years ago I told our ex-MP and our Minister Khaw Boon Wan to upgrade our coffee shop to reach a middle class standard to cater better quality and a little more expensive food, as times change, poor people can only afford the hawker center (that's why I have also proposed neighborhood hawker center which was later realized) coffee shop or kopitiam not to sell cheap food which they also can't sustain the business with increasing costs! Today I'm right with this prediction. The kopitiam is getting worse in business, only time to time, new stalls entering will arouse new public interests, but later business drop eventually close. Mixed veg rice starts to eat our customers, beware! A small piece of fish $5.50 it's worse than you eat Teochew porridge downtown! New Indian food and new coming Ah Fang very good. This morning our wheelchair go to toilet, behind walkway putting these baskets how to go through? 新加坡咖啡店最差的咖啡及红茶！茶袋几个月甚至一年没有洗干净！The worst kopitiam coffee and tea, bags aren't wash for months, maybe up to a year! Reported to Police Woodlands Div, One Service App and our Sembawang town council on Yak Hong kopitiam coffee shop their noise pollution after 10.30 pm. Now after midnight it's still happening. Have happened for a few weeks in recent month and hasn't resolved. Getting more serious now. Attached photos from my unit, a bit blurry, could see people drinking beer having a chat on a table. Reported to Sembawang police post once before. I guess that Yak Hong purposely allows beer drinkers to use their place after 10.30 pm, maybe business isn't good, so uses the beer drinkers to punish us residents!! Can't be the coffee shop management doesn't know the Gov rules!! Bosses simply bochap!! I was at Yak Hong kopitiam North Woodlands industrial estate, the coffee was much better than BLK 590, food fresher and more delicious, why Yak Hong doesn't improve at BLK 590?? Mean foreign talent should enjoy better food than Singaporeans? Worst coffee in all kopitiam as hires China workers maybe don't know how to wash the coffee steel pots and filters. Need to wash daily to taste fresh. Should be the similar standard as Teck Huat, even Vietnamese can make it good! Customer service is really BAD!!!! Haven't improved. The noodles China lady boss becomes Yaya. Food has improved for the chicken and roast pork rice, Zichar, and mixed veg rice. 真的下流无耻 Shameless Zaobao Chinese newspaper old one can still sell in front. Fat aunty refused to refund $1 then I said want me report Police? Then I got refund. $1 also want to cheat customers!! BAD!!!! SO FAR LONGEST SURVIVING Six (6) years COFFEE SHOP in our neighborhood by 31st January 2026 IN MONTREAL LINK I think it changes boss. Maybe now the business isn't good, as nearby hawker centre selling some less than 4 dollars, even 2 dollars can eat a snack of popiah, but the stalls at Yak Hong still selling 4 dollars or above. John's Western food is still empty, 6th Western food stall in 6 years! More than a year empty! Old Chicken & Roast Pork rice lousy promotion $1 roast pork rice for the first 2 days, during lunch already finished like that cheat our customers, DIE!!! Don't know how to do business! Affects YAK HONG image. I ate chicken rice maybe dirty, diarrhea this morning and feeling unwell, making me pay $53 at polyclinic Though was closed after midnight a night, gangsters were fighting and shouting outside the shop, and threw the bottles!! Guess why food is near to expiry, Yak Hong has another food court in North Woodlands industrial estate, the food there is fresh, the leftover ingredients would pass over to this coffee shop with less profit in early morning after delivery to the food court. New Palani Indian prata now very delicious and crispy!! The new JKC Japanese and Korean Cuisine is very good now both Indian and Korean Japanese also getting worse! Only 4 stalls can try: Zichar, Roast pork rice and noodles, and Mixed veg rice, plus small stall at corner selling carrot cake and dessert. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10
