For my husband’s birthday celebration this year, we had the pleasure of dining at Yen Yakiniku, which truly elevated our culinary experience. From the moment we stepped in, Zane’s friendly and amicable approach set a warm and inviting tone for the evening. His attentive service made it easy to settle in and enjoy what was to come. One of the standout features of the meal was the innovative selection of wagyu. Each cut was excellent and uniquely prepared, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to both quality and creativity. We opted for the “indulge omakase,” and it was nothing short of a gastronomic adventure. Every dish built upon the last, culminating in a perfectly portioned final course that left me completely satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the chef’s mastery of grilling on binchotan. The high-quality ingredients shone through every bite, and the delicate balance of smoky char and tender meat was a testament to the skill and passion behind the kitchen. What truly impressed me was Zane’s attention to the finest details. When I casually mentioned that we preferred fattier cuts, he remembered and ensured our selections reflected that preference. He even topped up our beverages proactively, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. This level of attentiveness made the experience all the more special.
