5/5 stars. Tried the basil minced meat rice with fried egg and it was really satisfying. The minced meat was flavourful, fragrant and went very well with the rice. Fried egg was nicely done with a runny yolk, which made the whole dish even better. Portion was generous and the food came hot and fresh. Simple, comforting and tasty meal at a reasonable price. I had a pleasant CNY dining experience with a few good friends at Yhing Thai. The prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. In fact, I find some dishes here to be better in taste and consistency compared to another popular Thai restaurant. The flavours are authentic and well-balanced. The dishes were served in generous portions, making it great value for money. One point to highlight during CNY period is their hand-made Yusheng which has unique thai flavours and yet doesn't lose the traditional characteristics of local Yusheng. It is certainly worth giving it a try. However, securing a table can be quite challenging as bookings are not easy to get, especially during peak hours. Another downside is that parkinq can be difficult during lunch hours. It would be very helpful if the restaurant could provide valet parking and/or clear direction of finding a car park lot. Overall, a solid choice for good Thai food at reasonable prices, and definitely worth visiting if you manage to get a reservation. It is a great place for a group gathering.
