I’m visiting Thailand and have been making a genuine effort to learn and use the Thai language. Unfortunately, my experience here was very different from the warmth and hospitality I’ve experienced throughout Chiang Mai. I visited on Wednesday at around 1:25 PM. The woman working did not greet or acknowledge me when I entered, so I greeted her instead. Her response and expression came across as noticeably unfriendly, which surprised me. I walked around for a while, expecting that she would eventually acknowledge me or offer assistance, but that never happened. I ultimately left and went to another coffee shop about three minutes away, where I felt much more welcome. It was disappointing because my experiences with people in Chiang Mai have otherwise been overwhelmingly warm and friendly. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
